Yoga for Women

Dates and times: Fridays 7-8.30pm
No class 18th Oct, 25th Oct, 22nd Nov.
Venue: St. George’s Church Hall, Goodrington, Paignton, TQ4 6NG. Church Hall is to the right of the Church.

Covering for Norah Nelson’s Yoga for Women class while she is on summer break and maternity leave. We will focus on strengthening – important alongside flexibility, postures for good health in women, good breathing practices & a short meditation. Class accessible to all women, encouraging you to practice step by step, suitable for your body. A nurturing space for you each week & we will finish with tea/snacks in the last 15 mins.

Bring a mat & blanket if you have them.

Mixed ability classes

Dates & times: Mondays 7.15-8.45pm – focusing on the sequences & techniques of Vinyasa Krama yoga. Suitable beginners/experienced. 
Venue:South Devon Tennis Centre, Ermington Road, Ivybridge, PL21 9ES.
Cost: Cost £8.50/ or a block of classes for £48, to be used within 2 calendar months. The cost of this class is higher than other due to the cost of the room.

Dates & times: Wednesdays 6.45pm-8.15pm – Similar to Monday evening. Suitable beginners/experienced.

Gentle Yoga including some chair yoga

Dates & times: Mondays 10-11.30am – includies modified postures, some chair yoga (less in this one than Wednesday morning), plenty of relaxation, breathing & short meditation. Suitable for seniors or those with less energy. Includes some floor work. 
Venue: South Brent Village Hall, TQ10 9JL (Upstairs)
Cost: £8 Drop-In, Or £45 For 6 Classes Over 2 Months.

Dates & times: Wednesdays 10.15-11.45am – similar to Monday morning but with more chair yoga.

Children’s Yoga & Mindfulness

Children’s yoga has all the benefits of adults – improved physical health (particularly helping motor skills), calming for the mind (thereby sharpening focus, concentration and learning), helping alleviate stress, plus nurturing self-esteem and confidence. For children especially, it helps to give a healthy head start in life, crucial for engaging with our fast-paced challenging world.

Dates & times: Wednesdays 4.30-5.30pm A fun approach to yoga incorporating games, themes & mindfulness exercises. Age 6-11. Term time only. 
Venue: South Brent Village Hall, TQ10 9JL (upstairs).
Cost: Cost £5 per class payable in advance by paying for a block of classes to be used by that half term (the cost of a block will be minus one session giving leeway to miss one)

Chair Yoga for the Gentle Years

Chair yoga followed by conversation. Suitable for seniors/others with less mobility. Very friendly & welcoming classes. Chance to meet others & chat after. £3. If coming for the first time, give me a call 07765 631877.

Venue: Pulse Building, The Mansion, Totnes, TQ9 5RP (walking access from Totnes Fore Street just past library on right or vehicle drop-off Victoria Street).

These 2 classes were initially supported by Solutions for an Ageing Society Awards Scheme and its partners, namely Devon Community Foundation, UnLtd, Esmee Fairbairn and the South West Academic Health Science Network. The Totnes class has received a further small grant from the South Devon and Torbay Grants Fund.
